We will be meeting every alternating Tuesday for a while. (please check the calendar lower on this page, or call 541-490-6680)

Sharing – Singing – Learning – Growing – Giving

WHAT IS BARBERSHOP SINGING:  To hear and see what barbershop singing is about, here is one of our nearby choruses, Northwest Sound from Bellevue, WA performing “How Far I’ll Go” under the direction of Kenny Potter.  These men (young and old) as you will see – love to sing, tell a story, and give their audiences a gift.

Without a doubt, the best way to check us out is to come visit one of our rehearsals
and experience the fun of singing together with others!
If you have questions, please call Ken at 541-490-6680.

Guests are always welcome

Finding the right chorus to sing with is like finding the “perfect” pair of shoes.  We invite women to come check us out and see how we “fit.”

New! RiverTones Chorus

We are starting a new men’s barbershop chorus in the Gorge … inviting all singers to come join us.

  • New music.  There are 1000’s of barbershop arrangements to pick from as we start learning new songs.  Come have fun learning right along with us.
  • Arrangements:  Yes, we sing 4-part acapella “barbershop style” … but that is by no means “old fashioned” or “out of date” — in fact, it’s quite the opposite!  New fantastic barbershop arrangements are being written for many of the popular songs we all enjoy.
  • Finding men to sing with us.   If you’d like to  sing again (even if it’s been years) – we definitely invite you to come sing with us.

Come check us out!!   Being that we are a new chorus — this is bound to be an “adventure” full of new surprises and fun activities.

Questions? Here’s a few answers:

  • Everyone is invited to visit us on Tuesday evenings 6:00-7:30.  We’re starting out alternating Tuesdays, so please check calendar on this page.
Rivertones will meet in the lobby, and the women’s Harmony of the Gorge chorus meets also in Down Manor at the same time in the banquet room on the 4th floor of Down Manor.
  • www.ComeSingNow.com is our new duo-chorus website for  information about both our choruses.  The website provides a lot of information about the barbershop style — along with warmups, our songs, and learning tracks for our current music.
  • You do not need to be able to read music.  Many of our singers learn by listening. an repetition.
  • Learning tracks are available on this website for you to listen to in between rehearsals.
  • Our meetings are short and we want to sing together,  so we try to keep talking to a minimum.
  • You will receive legal copies of our music during rehearsals.
  • Option: putting your music on a tablet instead of using a binder is OK.
